Making a Deposit

Deposits run in dinars, so money moves from your bank or your pocket to your balance without a currency conversion in between. Three routes are available, and they suit genuinely different habits rather than being three versions of the same thing.

Paying by card

Visa, Mastercard, Maestro and DinaCard are accepted, from 500 RSD, with no fee and an instant credit. Card details are transmitted in protected form using SSL and the PKI system rather than travelling across the network in the open.

Paying by uplatnica

If you would rather not put a card online, or you want to start with a small amount, the uplatnica route is the one to use. It works at exchange offices, post offices and banks across the country.

The payment details you need on the slip are the ones shown in the option on your account profile — take them from there, pay at the counter, and the funds arrive in about half an hour. The minimum is 20 RSD, which is the lowest entry point on the site by a wide margin. The commission is the standard one charged on the slip itself at the counter rather than something added to your balance.

Paying at an AltaPay counter

AltaPay covers the same preference for cash with the immediacy of a card. The operator publishes the flow as three steps:

  1. find the nearest ALTA-PAY exchange office from their list;
  2. give the operator at the counter your OktagonBet ID or the e-mail address on your account, together with the amount;
  3. the funds move to your account at that moment, and the operator hands you a confirmation that the transfer succeeded.

The minimum is 500 RSD, the daily ceiling is 1.000.000 RSD, and there is no fee. Keep the confirmation until you have seen the balance update — the same habit as keeping a stamped slip.

Why counter routes matter in this market

In much of Europe an online cashier means a card and nothing else. In Serbia the counter is a habit rather than a fallback: paying at a post office, a bank window or an exchange office is how a large part of the market has always moved money, and plenty of people who bet online still prefer to hand over cash instead of typing a card number into a website.

That is what makes the 20 RSD uplatnica minimum more interesting than it first looks. It is not really about depositing twenty dinars — it is that the route has no meaningful barrier to entry, so a first deposit can be whatever amount you want to start with.

Deciding the amount

Deposit what you have decided to spend, not the amount that unlocks the largest offer. Every bonus condition in this industry is built on the assumption that a bigger deposit is better for the player, and that is not a safe assumption to inherit.

Fix the number before you open the cashier, because a deposit made mid-session is made by a different person than the one who sat down. Watch one pattern in particular: small repeated top-ups inside a single session. That is chasing, it is the clearest early signal an account gives, and it is worth stopping on rather than explaining away. If it describes you, contact support and ask what limits or a break can be arranged — asking is the whole step, and it costs nothing.

If a promotion is running, its terms state a qualifying minimum. Check it before paying rather than after: a deposit below the threshold cannot be counted retroactively. The welcome offer has its own conditions worth reading first.

If a counter payment has not appeared

Counter payments depend on the details being written exactly as they appear in your profile, so keep the receipt from the counter until the balance updates. If a transfer is overdue, contact support with the receipt to hand, along with the amount, the time and the location of the counter.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the smallest deposit I can make?

20 RSD by uplatnica. The card and AltaPay routes start at 500 RSD.

Are there fees on deposits?

Card and AltaPay deposits carry no fee. The uplatnica route carries the standard commission charged on the slip at the counter, which goes to the counter rather than to your balance.

How quickly does the money arrive?

Card and AltaPay deposits are instant. An uplatnica takes about half an hour.

Which method should I use?

The one that matches how you already pay for things: a card for speed, an uplatnica to pay in cash or to start very small, AltaPay when cash needs to land immediately.

Can somebody else deposit for me?

Accounts are personal at licensed operators and cannot be shared or transferred, so deposits should come from you.

Do I need to verify my identity?

Verifying players is a legal requirement for licensed operators in Serbia. Dealing with it early rather than later keeps everything afterwards straightforward — see withdrawals.
